Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is surgery to the eye lids and eye bags is a procedure to remove excess skin and reposition fat from the upper or lower parts of the eyelid, giving a refreshed look to the eye area and face.
A blepharoplasty can be intricate surgery and is sometimes used in conjunction with laser re-surfacing.
For lower eyelid fat bag reduction general anaesthetic is required but upper eyelid blepharoplasty is commonly performed under anaethetic as an out-patient procedure.
